Hello Kids! How are you doing? I really hope you are doing fine!

Next Thursday 5th June you will present your Urban Tribe project.

You will have to present your power point, which will include the following sections:

1-ORIGIN OF THIS MOVEMENT
When and where was it created?
2 - CHARACTERISTICS OF THIS MOVEMENT
Influences, history, themes,
3 - STYLE
What sort of clothes do they wear?
4 - MUSIC
What kind of music do they like?
5 - REPRESENTATIVE PEOPLE
Which famous artists are representative of this urban tribe?
6 - WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ABOUT URBAN TRIBES? What is your opinion about the urban tribe you are representing?

Hello Kids! Are you enjoying your Easter Holiday? I really hope so!

Remember you have to hand in your scrapbook next Monday 31st March.

You will need colour cardboards, pictures, stickers, glitter and anything you want to add.

Don’t forget to include the following sections (include photos, drawings…):

ME (Name, age, nationality, physical description)

HOBBIES (music, sports, cinema… verb TO BE)

MY FAMILY (physical despcriptions. Use the verb Have got and To Be)

MY LIFE (daily routines. Use the present simple tense and adverbs of frequency. You can include a section about your friends)

MY HOUSE (parts of the house, furniture… use there is/there are)

MY FAVOURITE DISH (List of ingredients and photos/drawings)

As you may know, I like music very much. I love music and I like many groups: Pixies, The Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths, Lory Meyers, Los Planetas, Breeders, The Doors, Nirvana, Diabologum, Blur, Ramones, Pearl Jam, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Supergrass, Beck, Love, Ben Harper, Cornelius, Pj Harvey, David Bowie…and many more.

My favourite band is Radiohead. They are from Oxford (England) and they have been the first band to sell their music on the internet for an unspecified price (that means that you can pay what you want for their album). This is a picture of their last album "In Rainbows", but they have five more albums: "Pablo Honey", "The Bends", "Ok Computer", "Kid A", "Amnesiac" and "Hail to the Thief". My favourite ones are "The Bends" and "Ok Computer", but I like all of them.

I have a special story related to this band to share with you. I will tell you in class.

This is my favourite place in Sabadell. It’s called "El Cafè de l’Aliança", and it’s the cafeteria of a French School:A lliance Française.

It’s in the centre of the town (C/ Sant Joan, 35), near the railway station, and it is a very beautiful building called "Casa Taulé". It has a café and an art gallery where you can always enjoy art exhibitions.

In the picture you can see the café’s lovely patio. I often go there with my friends in spring, when the patio is full of flowers. When the weather is nice you can play chess or cards and have a great time. In summer you can enjoy concerts every Friday night, and on Saturday mornings there are often poetry readings.

The café is also a restaurant and they serve the best paellas in town!
